New US Ambbadador Submits Credentials to President Md Abdul Hamid

Earl R Miller, the new US ambbadador to Bangladesh, emphasized that strong ties between Bangladesh and the United States were in the best interest of Bangladeshis and Americans, as well as the regional and international community. World.

He made the remark after presenting his credentials to President Abdul Hamid at a ceremony in Bangabhaban on Thursday afternoon, UNB reported.

The US ambbadador arrived in Bangladesh on November 18, according to a press release from the US Embbady in Dhaka.

He was confirmed ambbadador of the United States to Bangladesh by the US Senate on October 11, 2018.

A career member of the US Foreign Foreign Service, Miller joined the state department in 1987.

Previously, he served as US Ambbadador to the Republic of Botswana in 2014-2018 and served as Consul General at the US Consulate General in Johannesburg, South Africa, from 2011 to 2014.

He has also served in US embbadies in El Salvador, Malaysia, Indonesia, Iraq and India.
