LUSAKA (Reuters) – Steam clowns and trampoline artists entertained British Prince Harry on Tuesday as he toured a youth circus in Zambia, backed by one of Queen Elizabeth's charities.

Harry spent the last two days in Zambia visiting World War II veterans in the capital, Lusaka, before heading to Circus Zambia, a project that helps vulnerable youth gain skills, education and employment.

The grandson of the monarch posed for images surrounded by artists at the circus, funded by the Queen's Commonwealth Trust, a charity that supports young leaders around the world.

"All the stories we've heard today are a powerful reminder of the great work going on here. All of this has been brought about by young people, like you, who have mobilized to make a difference for others, "said Harry, chairman of the trust, in a speech.

"Too often, funders and investors miss what you do because they can not find you or see what you are doing. We have established the Queen's Commonwealth Trust as a platform. "

Harry sent "best wishes" from his wife Meghan, who was pregnant and stayed at home.

On Monday, Harry met with Zambian President Edgar Lungu, who pledged to help reduce the nation's elephant population through another of his charities. [nL8N1Y15OI]
