With Toy Story 4The premiere of the film is within our reach, the moment is propitious to start thinking about Pixar's future projects, not just those like Forward that we have already seen glimpses of. Disney and Pixar announced today the title of Soul, their next feature film which will be released in theaters next summer, and which included a cryptic slogan on the premises of the film, open to interpretation.

Scheduled for theatrical release on June 19, 2020, Soul "Will take you to the cosmic streets of New York to discover the answers to the most important questions of life," according to the announcement made today by studios on Twitter. The film will be directed by Inside Out's Pete Docter and produced by Dana Murray, who worked as Artistic Director on Courageous.

Although the announcement does not provide much detail, Deadline reports that the film's slogan reads: "Do you ask where your pbadion, dreams, and interests come from? What makes you … YOU? Which is a bit interesting considering the word play built into the film title and the title card imaging of the production published today. There is a very good chance that Soul In one way or another, the sun will be at the rendezvous ("ground" being Latin for "sun"), and as the film will take its characters from New York to the "cosmic realms", it is likely that the story will focus on humans rather than just anthropomorphized celestial bodies.

Of course, none of this can be the case, and Soul It could become something quite different, but the fact that half of the atoms of our body were once part of dead stars from other distant galaxies seems to be the kind of thing that Pixar would like to transform into a great movie.
