Swmrs Announces New Vinyl Record and Launches April In Houston at World Wearied – Rolling Stone

Grunge-pop band from Swmrs Bay Area will follow their 2016 debut album Drive north with the next Berkeley's On Fire. They announced the new album with the single "April in Houston".

"April in Houston" is a song of the band more mature and tired of the world. Singer Cole Becker says that "everyone wants me to be raised" in the simple and catchy chorus of the song. In the video, Becker drags a chair – which had been thrown out a window – into the streets of a city. At times, he sits on the chair and looks at people with confusion or a little dance dragging him in the street. He dances more in the empty apartment and in the night scenes of the surrounding city.

Berkeley's On Fire will be released on February 15th via Fueled By Ramen. They worked with producer Rich Costey (Muse, Death Cab for Cutie) while writing and recording the full project last spring. The group will begin a tour in the UK and Europe after the release of Berkeley's On Fire. No North American tour dates have been announced yet.
