The search for a 35-year-old Sebina man who drowned in the Tati River on 3 January 2019 ended after the discovery of his body one kilometer from where he was swept by the strong current.
Police in Botswana and the Botswana Defense Forces have searched the body of Botswana over the past five days after being swept by the river.
According to Neo Serumola, commander of the Kutlwano Police Station, the victim was with his friend when they attempted to cross the river near the Francistown Block 1 site last Thursday at 11:00.
Serumola confirmed to The Voice that his body was found in the river early yesterday (Tuesday).
"I can not tell you where he was found, but it's not far from where he lost his footing and was swept by the river," Serumola said.
