  The Political Daredevil
CONTINUE THE COURSE: Moseki

He was four unlucky in the polls for the prominent human rights lawyer and prominent lawyer Morgan Moseki of the Party of the Botswana Congress (BCP)

. The previous defeats, Moseki is confident of returning him the fifth lucky time in the 2019 general election.

The politician cum politician will run as parliamentary candidate of Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) for Francistown East – a constituency that He narrowly missed out in the last election, falling to Buti Billy of the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) by 3, 818 votes to 3, 573.

In this interview he asks questions from The Voice & # 39 Christina Mah Motlhabane.

Q. You challenged the election four times and you failed each time. What will be different in 2019

I have revised my campaign strategies into a winning formula, which is not intended for public consumption.

Be that as it may, the BDP representatives made my job easier.

Under them, Francistown fell to his knees. I will plead for the reopening of BMC, because the explanation of its closure, just as with the BCL and the Tati Nickel mine, is ugly!

Q. What kind of politician are you?

I am a daredevil. Although humble, I am fearless. I do not give in easily – once I choose a course I have to fight until the end!

My goal is to remove the BDP from power by democratic means.

I am a true social democrat with a heart to represent

When I serve a person in need, I feel fulfilled.

I joined politics to contribute to a better society

Q. If you win the elections, what evolutions do you make? will bring to Francistown?

We need more industries in Francistown. We see a mbadive proliferation of industries in Gaborone up to Palapye.

Take a tour of Francistown, there is no single crane. Jobs were literally killed by the BDP-led government

Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital is almost a clinic

I pity the many doctors and nurses who work in such stressful conditions – the poor face serious risks of lose their life

And how do you intend to revive the fortunes of the city

We must first appreciate our faults as a country.

We can do much only by ourselves. Every country, developed and developing, needs investors to raise its economy

Therefore, creating an environment conducive to foreign investment must be a priority

Under the government led by the BDP, foreign investment declined.

Dangote, a Nigerian billionaire who has mbadive investments around the world, has been denied entry to Botswana for blatant reasons, depriving Batswana of job opportunities

. ] South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, China, etc. have reached the stage that they are today thanks to Western investments that they have taken seriously.

They are now the envy of the world!

Q.

PCA 2014-2019 Provided a Solution to Land Problems in Botswana

However, it would be folly to speak of East Francistown as an isolated riding.

Despite the slow pace we give land to our many deserving families and the youth in general, Gerald Estates is full of undeveloped land, almost twice the size of Francistown! According to our present manifesto, we promise to provide serviced land to the population within 12 months of taking over the government

Q. The current government complains of a lack of funds Where do you go

Once you have a plan, you have to find the money to reach your goals.

When a party in power fails to keep its promises, it speaks of lack of funds.

a lot of abandoned projects around. You can see that the money is there but given to the wrong people, especially some of the ruling party's mates.

The state control institutions, designed to control the use of public resources, have been reduced to edentulous bulldogs.

Q. How is your campaign?

All right, with a warm welcome from the people. We started with flyers encouraging voters to register for the next national registration from September 3rd to November 11th.

However, we are concerned that the IEC registration process is subject to abuse by unscrupulous politicians.

Even worse, the election documents remain in their custody unattended.

We have already heard cases where registrars have registered electors outside the permissible hours of which identity cards (Omang) have been brought by some politicians. 19659004 Q. If you lose, will you recover in 2024?

I will cross this bridge when I am there. However, I believe that the environment is conducive to us taking the BDP constituency

Q. As a human rights lawyer, what do you think you get Namibian refugees?

The contribution to a recent press conference where Minister Kgathi invited me was that the government of Botswana should not use threats and brute force to force them to leave.

We are a democracy but our record on refugees is appalling. must understand that there are problems in the world and that they are not peculiar to our area.

Refugees have the right to seek asylum anywhere in the world.

Q. Where do you see Botswana? in the next 10 years?

Under the government headed by the BDP, I see a country falling quickly.

The theft reached its peak under former President Ian Khama.

Once tested, it is not easy – just look at Zimbabwe, South Africa, etc.

Q. Are you sure that the UDC will solve its problems before 2019?

I am confident that the opposition will overthrow the BDP in 2019.

It remains for the opposition parties to sit down together and resolve our differences.
