The secretary general of the Saudi Football Federation, Loay Al Sebeiy, has confirmed the holding of a Super Cup of Saudi Arabia as Al Ahly and Zamalek.

addressing LTC Channel, Al Sebeiy explained the problems in the schedule, saying, "We were supposed to play our matches on July 24 and 25, but Al Ahly are playing a game in Botswana in the African Champions League on July 28.
"The first match between Al Ahly and Al Hilal will take place in Riyadh and the second match between Zamalek and Al Ittihad will take place in Cairo.
"Our priority now is to find a specific date that suits all parties and the price of both tournaments will be announced later," he concluded.
The last time a Saudi Arabian Super Cup was held in 2001 and 2003. Zamalek was the first Egyptian team to win this tournament. in 2003, where they defeated Al Ittihad during a penalty shootout.
