For its part, chess player Vivian Ramon, Cuba's first grand master, recalled Fidel's congratulations when she reached the standard in 1998 and emphasized her constant interest in the condition and training of athletes.

The meeting was chaired by the University Rector, Mr. Hector Noa, who stressed: "For us, it is very important to share the experiences of teachers who have somehow had experiences with Fidel, as well as with those who study. his work.

"The main objective is to accumulate all this knowledge and transmit it to the students we train in our university and to the community in general," he added.

This event aims to bring together students from subsequent editions to conduct research on Fidel's contributions to athlete education and the Cuban sports movement.
