Breaking News Live: NSW, Victoria Lockdown & Case Updates

[ad_1]

Premier Gladys Berejiklian will present NSW’s daily Covid19 update at 11 a.m. this morning.

It comes after Ms Berejiklian suffered backlash for announcing that she would not be providing Covid updates at 11 a.m. daily, despite fears that the peak of the epidemic may yet be looming.

The prime minister said information about the outbreak and cases would still be provided on a daily basis, but that she would not necessarily be the one providing the information as she needed a “clear head”.

This means that sometimes the 11am updates will be delivered via a pre-recorded video, other NSW officials can set up the press conferences or Ms Berejiklian can deliver the update herself, today it looks like it is the latter.

On Sunday, Ms Berejiklian said the next two months would be “the most difficult our state has seen, perhaps ever”.

“And I have to make sure that we don’t just make decisions for the next day, but for the next week and the next month and it’s really important to make sure that all of the government is prepared for what the next few months we are. will bring, ”she said.

“We are the first to sketch a roadmap for living with COVID and describing the resumption of international travel, the large-scale quarantine system.

“There are a lot of firsts that NSW is doing and we need to make sure that we are making all of these decisions the right way, with all government resources.”
