Drew Brees was vilified earlier this year when he went out against kneeling NFL players during the national anthem at the height of racial tension in the United States.

Favre added that there is a lot that needs to be fixed in the world and that “the New Orleans Saints starting quarterback cannot fix it.”
Favre also commented on the kneeling players during the national anthem in August.
“I know that having been in an NFL locker room for 20 years, regardless of race, background, money you grew up with, we were all brothers no matter what,” Favre told USA Today . “The guys got along really well. Will it be the same (with kneeling scenario)? I do not know. If one guy chooses to stand up for his cause and another chooses to kneel down for his cause, is one right and the other wrong? I do not believe. We tend to be set on the highs.
