Brilliant lapras spotted by players and Shuckle brilliant published

The trainers, in a surprising turn of events, brilliant Lapras was spotted in the wild! Although there is still no official confirmation of Niantic, the players reported having caught the brilliant Lapras at the following places:

• Ontario, Canada
• Hong Kong

Lapras is available as a reward for the Win 5 battles in the gym search task, which is the only search task that Lapras has for a reward. Do not confuse with Battle in a gym 5 times, giving Monkey / Machop. See our field research list and awards: April 2019 for a complete list of current research tasks.

Lapras is not really a useful Pokémon in terms of raids and PvP, but he is very much appreciated and we are sure there will be a ton of brilliant players to chase him away. No word if this version is still global, but good luck!

Shuckle shiny

But Lapras is not the only new bright thing that you can start hunting today! Shiny Shuckle has been released around the world as part of the Safari Zone: Sentosa mini-event. Although Shuckle remains brilliant, the Shuckle appearances will only be stimulated throughout this weekend:

Another part of the celebration is Shuckle's return as a raid boss! Yes, you read it right, Shuckle is back as a rank 3 raid boss with only 3892 checkpoints and the same staggering difficulty. Just like last time, you can not do the solo raid with Shuckle – you'll have a timeout before you can knock Shuckle out.
