British graphics: Far Cry New Dawn is No. 1, but Metro Exodus is the real winner

Far Cry: New Dawn is the # 1 game of the week in the UK charts.

It was the most competitive launch week since Christmas, with four new big games entering the Top 20.

Although Far Cry has managed to climb to the top of the standings, the opening week is not particularly impressive. Sales of the game's launch week have dropped 86.5% over Far Cry 5. Last year, it's well worth a title derived from Far Cry and the comparison so it's not very fair. Yet, even compared to the 2016 Far Cry Primal (the previous derivative), sales are a fraction of what we generally expected (Far Cry Primal sold nearly four times more units than New Dawn). during his first week).

This result is even more impressive considering the growth in digital sales over the six years between the two titles (digital game sales are not included in this data).

The physical launch sales of Metro Exodus are almost 50% higher than those of Last Light. 57% of Metro Exodus sales were made on PS4.

In terms of new releases, Bandai Namco's jump strength at No. 4. This is a solid opening performance for the fighting game and impressing few weeks for the publisher (as a result of the strong sales of Tales Of and Ace Combat). The game performed better on PS4, accounting for 76% of the game's launch sales.

The most disappointing launch of the week belongs to Microsoft Crackdown 3, which was only No.13. The launch sales of the game represent just 10% of those of Crackdown 2 in 2010. Of course, the sector was very different at the time. The Xbox 360 console was at the top of the market, digital sales were not as important as today (here again, only the physical is counted) and Crackdown 3 will probably have captured some users via the Xbox Game subscription service Pass (which is not included here).
