BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma – A 38-year-old woman with an intellectual disability was reported missing on Friday evening. She was last seen near 91st and 145th Street in Broken Arrow, according to Volunteers of America of Oklahoma, a group that provides residential care for her.
The group described her as having light brown hair and brown eyes. She is 4′5 ″ and weighs 102 pounds. She was last seen wearing black leggings, a denim jacket and a dark blue shirt. However, Volunteers of America of Oklahoma said she would likely have changed her clothes. The missing woman’s first name is Katie, although she may be using a different name.
Katie has a syndrome that causes “insatiable hunger,” according to the Volunteers of America of Oklahoma release, so she could be located near restaurants or grocery stores. Due to her disability, she is likely to go out of her way to obtain food, including offering favors and making up stories.
The organization is asking anyone with information about Katie’s location to contact the Tulsa Police Department at 918-596-9222.
