(WBNG) – The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has reported that several counties in the southern part are listed as having a “high” level of transmission.
According to the CDC’s Community Transmission Level Map, Broome, Chenango and Delaware counties are identified as having high levels of transmission for COVID-19.
This is based on transmission rates from August 3-9.
On the map published above, counties with a high level of transmission are shown in red. Counties with a “strong” transmission level are shown in orange, counties with a “moderate” transmission level are shown in yellow, and counties with a “low” transmission level are shown in blue.
Last week, Broome, Chenango and Delaware counties were designated as having only a substantial transmission rate of COVID.
As of August 11, all of upstate New York is listed as having a high transmission rate and no county is listed as having a low transmission rate.
