The Ministry of Health (MH) will launch the establishment of a working group consisting of representatives of interested institutions and organizations to develop a national program for the prevention and control of viral hepatitis in Bulgaria. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Health, citing Deputy Minister of Health Svetlana Yordanova.
Yordanova participated in the celebration of the World Day of Hepatitis. The program should include both effective screening and prevention, as well as even better treatment options, Yordanova said.
She recalled that as part of the events of the Bulgarian EU Council Presidency the Regional Conference "Screening and Prevention of Viral Hepatitis and HIV in Central and Eastern Europe, Common Challenges, joint solutions "took place.
