Sofia. A presentation by the Deputy Director of the National Agency for the Interior, Commissioner Anton Zlatanov, and the head of Investigations Department of Commissioner Sofia, Stoian Tsvetkov, was presented to the SDRD. The reason for this was the two road accidents on the capital's territory for the last day of the day, when a total of 15 cars were hit by two drivers. In the words of Commissioner Zlatanov, both cases are extremely difficult.
In the first case, a taxi driver drove eight cars on July 19. The driver is detained on Lomsko Shosse Boulevard after successfully inflicting property damage on 8 parked vehicles. Commissioner Zlatanov added that "at the moment the taxi driver was checked, the driver decided to give gasoline and escape with a tire that hit the cars. Later, he was arrested but refused samples of alcohol and drugs. In the words of the deputy director of SDRD, he will now be bled to be tested for the drug because the alcohol has already pbaded. The head of the investigation department of the Sofia District Court, Stoian Tzvetkov, added that the person driving the taxi and hitting 8 other cars was not the owner of the car but a taxi company
In the other case, from the night of July 19 to 20, traffic police tried to arrest a motorist on Rozhen Boulevard. He did not obey and tried to escape. Commissioner Anton Zlatanov said that before being hit, the driver hit 7 parked cars. Zlatanov added that both drivers are alcohol liars, and refused to give a law-enforced checker that they had consumed alcohol. According to Commissioner Tzvetkov, the driver of the car, who made a car accident with 7 other cars, said that in 2017 he had lost his book and did not have a new one, it was not the case. that's why he's supposed to be an inappropriate driver.
In both cases, preliminary proceedings were initiated. CRPS asks drivers to pay attention.
