The government plans to release the head of the State Agency for Intelligence Dragomir Dimitrov. This is clear from a decision published in the legal system of the Council of Ministers.

Dimitrov was a partner in state security. Since 1986, he has been a member of the PCO. Between 1989 and 1990 he studied at the Ministry of the Interior in Simeonovo. In 1990, he was an intelligence officer at the Counterintelligence Section of the Office for the Protection of the Constitution. From 2002 to 2004, he headed the regional directorate of state administration in Veliko Tarnovo. He worked at the National Intelligence Service (NIS, the former name of the state intelligence agency) as head of various departments. From 2007 to 2011, he was the NIS Liaison with Berlin. Between 2011 and 2012, he is head of the asymmetric threats department. In 2012, he was named head of the NCI.
