Sofia. Today, the boulevard "Christopher Columbus" will be closed for traffic in the section between the east tangent and the street "Prodan Taracchiev", due to a repair that will last about a month. There will be a brand new floor, street lighting and sidewalks that are currently lacking. The section will work in 5 steps. The buses that run on the boulevard – 84 and 184 will not pbad from there, but on the east tangent, a right turn will be made on Mimi Balkanska Street and on Terminals 1 and 2 of Sofia Airport.
The repair of this section will cost about 1 mln BGN. After the repair of "Christopher Columbus" Blvd, such will be launched at "East Tangent" Blvd., which will also be completely renovated with new flooring, traffic lanes, sidewalks, the section between the roundabout with Christopher Columbus Blvd. and Hristo Botev. The difficulty in traveling is expected. The municipality of Sofia has recommended that people working at the Sofia airport or in the surrounding buildings go to the boulevard de Bruxelles. For both sections, repairs will continue for about a month. For the East Tangent, repair will begin in early August and plans must be finalized in the first week of August. It is expected that the first week of September will be absolutely open to meet the increase in traffic in the fall
