Akira is a 2 year old Japanese shiba inu who just moved from Japan to Connecticut in November 2020. Inu means dog in Japanese. Most people who meet Akira say he looks like a fox, but shibas are actually the most genetically similar to wolves. Akira is also friendlier to humans than other doggos, but we’re working on her socializing skills by bringing her to dog parks more often. He enjoys taking long walks and hikes. Her favorite food includes strawberries, bananas, and cantaloupe! Having Akira in our life has helped our family overcome the stress of moving around the world in the midst of a pandemic.
