Newsom, a Democrat, did not respond to Fox News’ question whether he would condemn the attack.
The progressive governor has also remained silent online, not even mentioning the attack on one of his social media canals.

Elder is leading the gubernatorial revocation race, which he could win simply by having the most votes among all the candidates – no majority involved.
