California pastor issues COVID-19 vaccine exemption letters
A California church on Sunday distributed hundreds of exemption letters to people who do not wish to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
PLACER COUNTY, Calif. (KTTV) – A church in California receives exemption letters for people who do not want to be vaccinated against the coronavirus.
“I’m not anti-vaccination. Make no mistake,” said Greg Fairrington, the pastor of Destiny Christian Church. “But I am ‘pro freedom’.”
Fairrington said Destiny Christian Church, located in Placer County, northern California, offered the letters because he believes those who are reluctant to take the vaccine should have the right to choose, just as Americans have the right to choose. right to choose which church to go to.
“There is freedom of religion. This is what was born in the heart of America,” Fairrington said.

Over the weekend, the church released a video clip from one of its departments showing its support for employees at risk of losing their jobs by refusing to be vaccinated.
“On Sunday we prayed for educators, nurses, doctors and first responders who are mandated to get vaccinated or lose their jobs. Many feel morally compromised in taking it – let this prayer speak to you if you are in the business. same case situation ”, we read in the publication of the church on social networks.

Starting this week, all state employees are required to show proof of vaccination or they must get tested for COVID-19 twice a week. California health workers have until September 30 to prove they are fully immunized.
As for private companies, here is a list of employers requiring their workers to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
Here in Los Angeles, the city council is pushing an order requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination for Angelenos when they dine indoors at restaurants or visit other indoor venues like gyms or sporting events. Although the ordinance is not yet official, the city has taken one step closer to its realization after city council unanimously passed a law last week asking City Attorney Mike Feuer to draft the warrant in form written.
