A man and a woman were arrested after a shooting in the area of the Annex Monday evening
Officers responded to a call in the Madison and Bernard Avenue area around 10 pm. where two to three shots were heard.
They found a person with upper body injuries. The victim was taken to hospital in serious condition by an emergency procedure. Police say that we expect the victim to live
It is believed that a second pedestrian is a pedestrian and the police say that they were hit by a vehicle that fled the area.
Police say that an abandoned vehicle was nearby and a gun was found in it.
Police reported that the man was arrested at the scene. Just after 1 am, a woman was taken into custody
. Police say the incident may be related to a hit and run in the same area. At a short distance from the location of the victim of the shooting, a vehicle hit a tree and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian was transported to the hospital. The extent of the injuries is unknown at the moment
Police are working to confirm details and connection, if any, between the two incidents
