Police reported that three people who fell in the waters of Shannon Falls Provincial Park have disappeared.
A spokesman for the Squamish RCMP said the three men fell into the water near the top of the waterfall.
According to the Provincial Parks Department, the Falls are 335 meters high, making it the third highest waterfall in British Columbia.
Emergency Response Teams 39, at least seven different organizations were deployed in the park to find missing persons.

Staff and vehicles of Squamish Search and Rescue, the service of 39; Squamish District Fire, BC Park Rangers, BC The Ambulance and RCMP have taken the park parking lot and are banning access to it.
The Lions Bay Search and Rescue Service and the North Shore Search and Rescue Service tweeted that they were badisting Squamish Search and Rescue

The RCMP spokesman stated that the mission is not considered a recovery mission at this time since there is no sign of the three missing persons. She says the teams would search the night if necessary

BC . The parks announced Tuesday that the park is now closed due to the urgency.
"This park is directly adjacent to Highway 99, making it a popular day use park," says the Shannon Falls webpage. "This park provides picnics, hiking and access to the trail in Stawamus Chief Provincial Park."
