The Toronto Blue Jays pushed the reset button with Steve Pearce, but who else will be moved by July 31?
Toronto Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins said the team will be selling what was a disappointing first half of the season. Steve Pearce is just the first domino to fall into what will be a busy couple of months for the front office of the Blue Jays. But who will be the next to leave?
The Blue Jays are currently evaluating all options on the trading front. But, since it's not a total rebuild, there will be a handful of players who are untouchable.
You should think that these players are; Marcus Stroman, Aaron Sanchez, Teoscar Hernandez, Russell Martin and Roberto Osuna. This leaves everyone on the active list available.
J. A. Happ is the first name that comes to mind. But players like Marco Estrada, Tyler Clippard, Ryan Tepera and Kendrys Morales will likely be displaced.
Happ is arguably the best starting pitcher on the market. Which virtually guarantees that it will be sent to a rival team by July 31st. According to rumors, three teams would be very interested in his services; Yankees, Mariners and Phillies.
I think the most likely destination for Happ is the Seattle Mariners. Here is the case: Happ and money considerations for Art Warren and Chase De Jong pitchers.
Warren is ranked as the No. 8 prospect in the Mariners system. De Jong was drafted by the Blue Jays in 2012 and is the number 20 candidate in the Mariners system.
Warren is by far the best pitcher of both players. His fastball will reach about 98 mph, and is easily his best pitch.
Moreover, it can have an immediate impact on the Blue Jays. Warren is emerging as a late pitcher, as he creates a large number of strikeouts.

Estrada is the other great player likely to be moved before the deadline. His former team, the Milwaukee Brewers, would be a big trading partner.
The Brewers need to throw throws and the Blue Jays need pitching opportunities. The Blue Jays would send Estrada to the Brewers for pitcher Freddy Peralta and receiver Payton Henry
Peralta would be a perfect choice for the Blue Jays. Its ceiling is in the middle of the rotating pitcher. In addition, he is already ready for the MLB and could immediately fill one of the vacant positions in the rotation.
Henry, on the other hand, is basically just a piece of depth for the Blue Jays. He has the potential to become an everyday player at the MLB level, but it will take time for him to become that player.
No matter what happens on the pitch this month, the Blue Jays can not change In fact, they are sellers. But do not expect complete destruction. It will more likely be a makeover
