Authorities claim that four people were injured, one of whom could have fatal injuries after a shooting in Kensington Market on Sunday night.

Police and paramedics in Toronto were called to the Augusta Avenue area south of College Street by 10:30 pm

A Toronto Paramedic spokesperson told Global News that men were in a downtown trauma center in a serious condition and "potentially deadly" after being shot several times.

The spokesman said that another victim had been taken to hospital in a serious but not fatal condition. Two others were treated for non-fatal injuries.

Police reported receiving reports of four suspects fleeing the scene

Toronto Police Chief Mark Saunders went to the scene early Monday morning to talk to the police.

Police closed part of Augusta Avenue in the area under investigation.

This shooting marks the violent end of the weekend when two men were shot dead on Saturday night and another man was stabbed mortally early Sunday morning near Greenwood and Danforth avenues.
