Mike Burnstein, Langley Giants Athletic Therapist for Langley, has been named a Team Canada staff member for the upcoming World Junior Hockey Championships.
Burnstein is no stranger to international competition. He has worked for Canada at the 2010 Winter Olympics, four World Hockey Championships, the 2015 Spengler Cup and was an athletic coach for Team Europe in 2016 at the World Cup Hockey

The World Junior Hockey Championships will be held from December 26 to January 5 in Vancouver and Victoria.

Prior to joining the Warriors, he was an NHL badistant coach with the Toronto Maple Leafs, the San Jose Sharks and the Washington Capitals. As a player, he played 815 NHL games in 16 seasons with the Calgary Flames, the Colorado Avalanche, San Jose and the Vancouver Canucks, capturing the Stanley Cup in 1989 in Calgary.
Dumont was named captain Screaming Eagles of Cape Breton of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in 2012. He has already coached the Val-d'Or Gold Foreurs (QMJHL) and was badistant coach for two seasons with the Gatineau Olympiques (QMJHL). Dumont was also head coach of Team Quebec at the 2009 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.
