Thousands of country music fans gathered in Cavendish, PEI for the annual Cavendish Beach Music Festival.
The festival started Friday afternoon after the weather delays. The doors were to open at noon, but the risk of thunder and lightning kept them closed until 3 pm

At Chez Yvonne restaurant in Cavendish, owner Paul Larkin knows how to prepare for an influx of people.

Near Fairways Cottages, just down the festival, owner Sandi Lowther said that she is taking additional steps to prepare for the festival weekend.
