The Open Fishing Weekend allows people, from July 14 to July 15, to fish without a license
Murray Koob, Sport and Recreation Specialist Fisheries Ministry of the Environment
"It involves all provinces where fishing opportunities are offered throughout the year to promote the sport of fishing and enjoy the outdoors."
All other fishing rules and regulations are in force for the weekend
Koob said Free Fishing Week was created to celebrate fishing activities
"Fishing is an important part of the province, not only economically, but also ividually, it can provide you relaxation, enjoyment of the outdoors, and a number of the outdoors as well.
