BURLINGTON, Ont. – The Halton Regional Police say that they are investigating after a human body has been found floating in Lake Ontario, just east of Burlington Pier.
They say the deceased was identified as a 45-year-old Burlington man. the name is retained pending the notification of the next of kin.
Investigators say that there is nothing "obviously suspicious" in the case, adding that an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
They also say that they will solicit the area for possible witnesses and to see if anything has been captured on the video that could help the case.
