(UPDATE: 3:35 pm) – The West Kelowna Fire Department confirmed that the injured patient who had been thrown from the horse was a 14 year old girl who had sustained non-fatal injuries following the incident.
WKFD responded at approximately 10:25 am to the call of a person in distress with two vehicles, including a rescue vehicle, where the girl was found four kilometers in the Bear Creek Woods Road, explains Brent Watson, Assistant Chief with the WKFD
She suffered injuries to what appeared to be her pelvic area but was in a stable condition when she was flown to KGH
(Original story: 2 : 15 pm) – BC Emergency Relief Services and the West Kelowna Fire Department rescued a wounded rider from Bear Creek Park on Tuesday morning.

EHFBC received a call At 10:12 am A distraught person dispatched three units, including an air unit that flew a patient to the Kelowna General Hospital.
The patient was transported to KGH in stable condition.
