Peel police arrest a woman accused of assaulting Tim Hortons staff in a viral video

A 21-year-old woman captured in video pretending to grab the hair of a Tim Horton employee in Brampton while another staff member trying to release her was arrested.

Peel Regional Police say that a woman climbed the road -thru window and walked into the cafe near McVean Dr. and Castlemore Rd. After the staff had closed the dining room for the night but always served the customers who stopped in the vehicles.

"She started attacking the attendant on the other side and she catches her hair," Const said. Danny Marttini. "By the time we arrived, the woman was gone."

The video was posted on Facebook Monday night, but the incident took place at 3:17 in the morning. The images show a male worker trying to defuse the situation by talking to the suspect, while trying to free his colleague's hair. When he does, the suspect is then seen hitting the worker. Finally, the worker is released and seen visibly upset by the camera.

No word on what sparked the altercation or if the client was intoxicated.

The 25-year-old woman and the 20-year-old man

Leliqua Clarke, of Brampton, is charged with two counts of badault and a break and enter with intention.

She was detained for a bail hearing scheduled for Thursday.
