The lead detective of the Bruce McArthur series case homicides is expected to provide an update of the investigation at a press conference on Friday morning.
Dét.-Sgt. Hank Idsinga is scheduled to speak to reporters at 10:30 am at Toronto Police Headquarters in the downtown core.
Earlier this month, Idsinga revealed that more human remains were found at Mallory Crescent House where McArthur, 66, was working as a landscaper before his arrest in January. Police have already discovered the remains of seven men buried in planters throughout the North Toronto property.
McArthur is currently facing eight counts of first degree murder in the deaths of eight men with links to the city's gay village. The police were unable to find any body parts belonging to any of these men, Majeed Kayhan.
In recent weeks, police search teams have carried out a fourth round of searches on the property. The effort focused on a wooded ravine that strikes the backyard of the house.
Idsinga previously stated that the new research was launched by dead dogs, which revealed in May that other human remains could be buried at the property.
