The sixth episode of the Tom Cruise franchise requires a little more knowledge than usual.

In 1996, Tom Cruise chose to accept his first mission

Since then, the series Mission: Impossible has brought in $ 2.7 billion worldwide and has become one of the most ambitious. Part of the draw of the series has been the insistence of Cruise to perform his own stunts, as well as the way each mission rarely requires knowledge about previous installments. But critics for Mission: Impossible – Fallout revealed that there are more connective threads and reminders to other movies than in any of the previous five movies. Here is a brief summary of what happened here in the life of Ethan Hunt's Mission: Impossible in case you needed a course of recycling on the plot.

Mission: Impossible (1996)
Director: Brian De Palma

Cruise presents the world to Ethan Hunt, a young hotshot from the IMF (Impossible Missions Force) a fictitious US government designed to carry out clbadified missions by a team of highly qualified, capable agents. The entire Hunt team is wiped out during a routine mission. The dead seem to include Hunt's mentor, Jim Phelps (Jon Voight), but when the dust settles, the head of his agency suspects that Hunt was the culprit, and he is left alone to avenge his team, and dump his name, with the help of Luther Stickell (Ving Rhames) and after the arms dealer Max (Vanessa Redgrave). Eventually, Hunt discovers that Phelps organized his own death, set up his protégé to take the fall, and would retire after stealing clbadified documents that he intended to sell to the highest bidder. Hunt is able to kill Phelps, retrieve the list of clbadified agents, and erase his name in the process.

This virus is able to annihilate a large part of the population, and Ambrose has mbadive stocks in the company that produces the antidote, the villain waiting for the stock to rise in arrow after the release of the virus. Hunt eventually defeats Ambrose, who decides to die rather than be captured. The film also establishes Hunt as an avid mountaineer, who remains important to the rest of the series, as climbing dangerous heights is a specialty.

Mission: Impossible III ( 2006)
Director: J.J. Abrams

Hunt left the IMF as a tactical agent, and instead trains and mentors young recruits. He is also engaged to Julia Meade (Michelle Monaghan) and tries to lead a normal life. After the capture of one of her best students, Lindsey Farris (Keri Russell), Hunt agrees to join a mission to help save her, and keeps the secret on her fiancee. Farris is killed in the botched rescue attempt, and Hunt vindicates the person responsible, the black market trader Owen Davian (Philip Seymour Hoffman). After hatching an elaborate plan to capture Davian, Hunt and his team are ambushed soon after and Davian escapes. Eventually, Meade is captured and Hunt desperately tries to save her, killing Davian, and discovering a pro-Davian plot at the IMF. Hunt and Meade are left to live happily ever after, what we think

After Hunt's escape, the Kremlin is destroyed, and Hunt and the US government are accused of the attack. The United States is forced to dissolve the IMF under international pressure, and Hunt is forced to hide while he tracks down Hendrix, who continues to move closer to access to a nuclear bomb. After a long battle, Hunt is able to stop Hendrix a few seconds before he puts a nuclear weapon in San Francisco. The IMF and the US are cleared and the IMF is restored.
