London, Oct 23 (IANS) Christie's, a London-based auction company, has announced the online sale of 22 items by the late British physicist Stephen Hawking, including one of his wheelchairs and complex scientific papers.
The scientific papers, including one of the five existing copies of Hawking's doctoral dissertation. A thesis in 1965 with an estimated price of 100,000 to 150,000 pounds (about $ 130,000 to $ 195,000), "traces the evolution of his thinking – that brilliant, electrifying intelligence," said Monday Thomas Venning, responsible books and manuscripts at Christie's.

As part of a scientific sale including articles by Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin and Albert Einstein, the Hawking Auction will open at auction on October 31.
