The Leicester City players are in Thailand for the funeral of the club owner, killed in a helicopter crash.
Jamie Vardy and club captain Wes Morgan are among the players who attended a prayer ceremony at a Bangkok temple for the funeral of Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.
It began Saturday with Buddhist bathing rituals and is followed by a week of recitation ceremonies.
The helicopter crashed after taking off from the club stadium on October 27, killing Mr. Vichai and four other people.
The Leicester players traveled to Thailand on Saturday for the 12-hour flight after their 1-0 victory in Cardiff City in the Premier League in the first match since his death.
They joined Sunday's Buddhist prayers for Mr. Vichai and will do so again Monday before returning to the UK the next day to prepare for their home match against Burnley on Saturday.
English defenseman Harry Maguire and coach Claude Puel are also among the players who traveled, but some players did not, including Demarai Gray, who scored the winning goal in Cardiff.
Many players, including Vardy, Morgan and goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, spoke of the enormous impact of the Thai billionaire on their club and their lives.
Jonathan Head, BBC correspondent for Southeast Asia, said: "This is a more formal atmosphere that players will not have experienced in the moving tributes to Mr. Vichai in Britain.
"But it's their last goodbye, and it will definitely be a moving opportunity for them."
Nusara Suknamai, Kavebad Punpare, pilot Eric Swaffer and his partner, Izabela Roza Lechowicz, also died in the crash of King Power Stadium.
Ms. Nusara's funeral took place in Bangkok on Saturday.
Thirty-two-year-old and a member of Mr. Vichai's staff, she was a finalist in the Miss Thailand Universe in 2005, where she appeared to be from the province of Bangkok.
The Aviation Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) is conducting an investigation into the cause of the accident.
