Is this the reason Victoria Beckham will not join?

The Spice Girls finally confirmed today the least well kept secret of show business: they find themselves for a tour, without the participation of Victoria Beckham.

Beckham gave his former band members a blessing – even contributing to a commendation in the press release regarding the announcement of the tour – but that did not stop some fans from complaining about his absence.

Think she's too good for Spice Girls, some have suggested. Too much attached to her fashion brand to fill a two-week gap in her schedule next year for a handful of performances.

At this point, I'm sick of Posh retaining my daughters. In real chic, Victoria is too chic and too rich to run again.

However, a behind-the-scenes account of what may have been the Spice Girls' last performance in five pieces may partly explain Beckham's rejection.

The date was August 12, 2012: the closing ceremony of the London Olympics. Music legends such as Annie Lennox, George Michael and the Pet Shop Boys were at the rendezvous, but it was a surprise performance by the Spice Girls. Wannabe and Spice up Your Life – which has become the most discussed moment of the ceremony.

The group out of five appeared at home on stage, although they have not played together for four years. But behind the scenes, the story was different, as Beckham struggled against nerves that soon turned into a "full panic attack".

"I was in the taxi with Emma before departure and I almost got out of the car. I was so nervous. I felt sick and Emma was so amazing. Honestly, that's how you know a real friend. If it were not for her, I would not have been there, "admitted Beckham in an interview with Heart FM after the Olympics.

A source said The mirror how serious the situation was:

"Victoria downplayed the incident, but she had a complete panic attack and was in a total state. Emma was brilliant and hugged her, saying, "Everything will be fine, you are beautiful."

The Spice Girls themselves say that Victoria will not join them on stage "because of her commercial commitments," and we have no reason to doubt it. She had a successful full-time career as a fashion designer, but it's also easy to forget that she had been a full-time pop star for nearly two decades.
