For the second time in as many weeks, the planned launch of SpaceX from Vandenberg Air Base has been delayed.

The company was to launch a VAFB Falcon 9 rocket Wednesday morning as part of the "Spaceflight SSO-A: SmallSat Express" mission. Officials of the 30th Space Wing of VAFB, however, confirmed Tuesday that the launch had been delayed due to poor weather conditions.

No makeup date was provided immediately.

Tuesday's announcement was the second time the launch was postponed. It was originally scheduled for November 19, but was postponed a few days before that date to allow more time for maintenance of the rocket.

The rocket is expected to carry about 70 satellites, including microsatellites and CubeSats, from various suppliers around the world, including some US government agencies.

The payload has been configured by Spaceflight, a Seattle-based launch services company. By grouping the satellites in carpooling, the cost of launching is distributed among many customers.
