A Southgate Center fast food restaurant had to close due to a badroach infestation.
An inspection of the Alberta Health Services (AHS) performed at the Koryo Korean BBQ, which was operating without a valid food handling license, revealed "evidence of mbadive badroach infestation".
There were dead badroaches on food equipment, countertops and glue boards, AHS said.
AHS also found that the restaurant's cleaning program did not include cleaning and disinfection procedures for all equipment and utensils. The inspector also noticed that the food equipment and garbage cans were in an unhealthy state.
Korean barbecue Koryo was ordered to close on November 19th.
In order to reopen, the restaurant will need to have a valid food handling license provided by AHS and resolve badroach infestation, repair water leaks and establish an appropriate cleaning protocol.
