The Coquitlam RCMP says Const. Scarecrow will return to the streets to help the police rise to crack down on hard-nosed motorists.
Const. The scarecrow, if you have not heard about it, is a cutout of a police officer carrying a radar gun on Pinetree Lane near Burlington Drive in September to encourage drivers to slow down.

According to the RCMP, the number of speeders at the intersection has halved in the space of two weeks.
Before Const. Scarecrow installed, 5.2% of drivers exceeded the maximum speed of 10 km / h.
Two weeks later, 2.6% of drivers exceeded the limit at more than 10 km / h.
