An Apple executive has finally publicly commented on recent sales of the company's iPhone, noting that the iPhone XR has actually outsold iPhone XS and XS Max sales "every day" since its availability.
"The iPhone XR is our most popular iPhone ever since the day it became available," Greg Joswiak, vice president of product marketing for Apple, told CNET.
Before anyone is too excited by this comment, I will simply recall that the iPhone XS and XS Max were on sale more than a month before the iPhone XR, which makes sense. You could not even pre-order an iPhone XR when those other two phones became available. But the fact that the iPhone XR is more sold than the old iPhones, baduming that is the case, is rather interesting.
In addition, Joswiak refused to answer the Wall Street Journal's information that the new iPhones did not sell well.
"The iPhone XR is the most popular and best-selling iPhone since its launch on the market," he repeated after the lack of sales.
Yes, that's literally all he said about it. Although he added that "the iPhone XR is literally our most popular product", about the variant Product (RED).
