Mother Nature shows off her prowess and almost every part of Newfoundland is warned of bad weather.
According to Environment Canada, high winds are forecast with gusts of 110 to 120 km / h Thursday in the Avalon Peninsula. The northern part of the Avalon Peninsula will see the drizzle turn into snow overnight.
Strong winds are also expected to hit Corner Brook and surrounding areas, but will decrease on Thursday morning. In areas along the southern coast of the island, gusts are expected to reach 140 km / h.
Parts of central Newfoundland are under a winter storm warning. The drizzle should give way to snow by Thursday morning. It will be strong sometimes with blowing snow, according to Environment Canada.
The snow could persist until Friday and some areas could see up to 35 centimeters.
