Nobody was injured after pbading a car in a large water basin at Portugal Cove-St. Wednesday night of Philip.

The car was on a dirt road and was accidentally driven into an area where water tends to accumulate and remained stuck, according to Fred Hollett, chief of the city's fire department.

The two occupants of the vehicle were not injured and waited in the car for help, he said.

The vehicle rescue slowed traffic at the intersection of Portugal Cove Road and Old Broad Cove Road, but the cars were moving freely once the vehicle was safely lifted onto a tow truck and taken to 20:30.
