The new Canucks DJ learned a valuable lesson on Tuesday.
Never play Chelsea Dagger never.
No matter how catchy this song is, it belongs to the Chicago Blackhawks and has been a nightmare for Canucks fans for a decade.
So when the song was played in the third period of Tuesday night's home game against the Los Angeles Kings, the fans were upset.
How could this happen?
For starters, they have recently replaced Jay Swing, a Canucks fan and DJ of the team for four years. It seems that his replacement needs to develop some of the finer points in recent Canucks history.
The outrage was so intense that it forced Canucks owner Francesco Aquilini to explain the action on social media. Here is what he had to say on Wednesday afternoon:
By the way, playing "Chelsea Dagger" at last night's match was an innocent mistake on the part of someone whose memory does not go back so far. M & # 39; s breathed too. This will not happen anymore!

Aquilini described the sacrilegious act as an "innocent mistake," and I am sure of it. But to explain that it is because "someone's memory does not go back so far" does not pbad the odor detection test.
The Canucks played against the Blackhawks in the playoffs in three consecutive seasons from 2009 to 2011. The rivalry also lasted beyond those years.
If your DJ was not a Canucks fan in 2011, he should not be your DJ. We need DJs who suffer all their lives, like all the fans who suffer all their lives.

If you are over 18 and do not remember Chelsea Dagger, you are not careful.
Being an unconditional fan may not be a prerequisite for Canucks DJ's work, but I bet it helps.
The Canucks Nation noticed that they were defending one of their own in a support movement.
bring back @ JaySwing , great DJ and current fan of the team https://t.co/PDQP1ud6yo

Exactly what was wrong with Jay Swing? We won then. Has the DJ changed yet another way to join the tank by the management?

Please bring back Jay Swing. In fact, he knew what he was doing and knew how to read and work with the crowd.
