LOS ANGELES, USA – Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry will be back from an injury to the Pistons in Detroit on Saturday, Dec. 1, coach Steve Kerr said Wednesday.

Kerr prevented Curry from participating in the meeting of two defending champions against the Raptors in Toronto on Thursday, while Curry himself "is dying to play."

He added that Curry, who was recovering from a left groin injury suffered during a loss to Milwaukee on Nov. 8, had "looked superb" in practice over the past two days.

But the team decided to proceed with caution early in the season.

"If it was a playoff game, it would absolutely play," Kerr said. "But it's November, prudence is the word of the day."

Kerr said Curry was particularly disappointed to have missed the game in Toronto, not only because the Raptors currently hold the NBA's best record, but also because he keeps fond memories of the Canadian city since the time his father, Dell Curry, played there since 1999. -2002.

Curry, twice the NBA's best player, got off to a good start this season as the Warriors launched their bid for a third consecutive NBA title. He averaged 29.5 points, 6.1 badists and 5 rebounds and shooting 49.2 percent of the three-point range before being hurt.

In the 10 games Curry missed, the Warriors are 5-5. This includes a rare series of four consecutive losses, although they have won 3 consecutive victories. – Rappler.com
