To compensate for the weight of the powertrain of the battery, the body of the concept is composed of lightweight materials, including carbon fiber and generous doses of aluminum. Audi bluntly acknowledges that the development took place alongside the sister brand of the VW Group, which makes sense, because this concept largely shares its foundation with the all-new Porsche Taycan. But Audi also points out that the GT e-tron is still an Audi.
With its sportback body, the e-tron GT concept reminds us a lot of the Audi A7. Both have a sloping roofline that extends into the rear, a design feature that promises Audi and that we will see more often with future models. The wheel arches and shoulders are beautifully carved, thanks to the genius of the Audi design boss, Marc Lichte. Also note that the cab tilted sharply backwards.
