A head-on collision claimed the life of a 20-year-old girl after her sedan collided with a van.
This happened on Wellington Road 8 in Mapleton Township near Drayton at 4:30 pm
The Ontario Provincial Police said the 20-year-old was a man from the area.
The driver of the van was rushed to hospital with minor injuries.
There were no pbadengers traveling in both vehicles.
Although the investigation was only in its infancy, the police said they did not believe that alcohol, drugs, state roads or l '39; lighting were a factor.
The road was closed for several hours.
The investigation is underway.
