As Antetokounmpo has evolved, Middleton has seen his role in the Bucks offense evolve significantly.
"Coming here was a fresh start and I had to win my place," Middleton said.
"So, by the time I'm in it, I still have that hungry state of mind. I want to do great things, I always want to lead the team, but at the same time you have to sacrifice some parts of your game.
"Touches, blows … a bit of everything, but I know it's better for the team, so I do not take it personally at all.
"I have accepted this role, I accept who I am as a player and as a person."
The Bucks will be in action next Saturday. They will have to face a road trip to play Miami Heat in Florida.
