VICTORIA – A 39-year-old man faces multiple charges following an investigation into alleged badual badault in a residential care facility in Victoria.
Detectives from the Special Victims Unit say the suspect was working as a caregiver. the Island Health Facility (Hillside Avenue) where the alleged incidents occurred.
Police say they have identified and talked with three victims, but suspect that there may be more, and appeal to potential victims or witnesses to contact them.
The suspect was immediately suspended when the allegations were revealed and no longer had access to patients since then.
Amado Ceniza, of Saanich, BC, faces four counts of badual badault and four counts of badual exploitation
He was released on bail with several conditions, including an injunction that he is not alone with anyone in a vulnerable population, including the elderly, people under 18, or anyone who is physically or mentally handicapped.
