Recall Details
Ottawa, November 28, 2018 – The sector is reminiscent of the Achva and S & F brand tahini products in the marketplace because of the possible Salmonella contamination. Consumers should not consume the recalled products described below.
The following products have been sold in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Quebec and may have been distributed in other provinces.

This recall was triggered by findings from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) during its investigation of a foodborne illness outbreak. The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which could result in the recall of other products. If other high risk products are recalled, the CFIA will notify the public through updates of food recall warnings.
The CFIA verifies that the industry is removing the recalled products from the market.
