The Toronto Film Critics Association is pleased to announce that Tantoo Cardinal, a prolific film, television and theater actor, is the recipient of this year's Technicolor Clyde Gilmour Award.
TFCA thanks Technicolor's creative services for enabling Technicolor Award winner Clyde Gilmour to provide $ 50,000 worth of services to a filmmaker of their choice. Cardinal will announce his appointment in the coming days.

Born in Alberta, Cardinal has had outstanding roles in Canadian and international films including Dance With Wolves, Black Robe and Smoke Signals. A member of the Order of Canada, Cardinal is a voting member of the Academy of Arts and Film Science.
The Technicolor Clyde Gilmour Award recognizes a personality from Canadian industry who has made a substantial and outstanding contribution to the advancement and / or history of Canadian cinema. Eligible are those who can be seen as bringing Canadian cinema and culture into their work. The Toronto Film Critics Association was established in 1997 and consists of Toronto-based journalists and broadcasters who specialize in film criticism and commentary.
